Holly and I arrived last night in New Orleans for the start of our vacation. We spent most of the day on the plane or in an airport so were glad to get to our room. We are staying at the Bienville House in the French Quarter one block from the Mississippi river. It is hot and humid here and we have just finished our list of things to explore in the French Quarter.
While on the second flight of our trip yesterday we had an interesting experience on the plane. Just after the flight attendant gave us our drinks we started to hit some turbulence. The plane bounced around a bit and I grabbed a hold of my drink to prevent it from spilling. Just as I got my hand around it the plane hit a really large bump and everyones drinks went flying into the air. Holly's tomato juice was on the ceiling above us and my soda was all over my lap, arms and dripping down my legs. It was a bit scary when it happened and after that last bump the flight was as smooth as can be. The flight attendant said that she had never hit bump that bad in all of her years of flying.
I will leave you with some photos of our room as I have not had any time to take photos of anything else.
